Another first day is just around the corner, and we couldn’t be more excited to head back to school with you.
For many educators, “back” might not be the right word. After all, we know how much energy you've already put into making sure your students feel welcome on their first day of school—and how you’re looking forward to the year with a combination of anxiety and anticipation.
But we also know that everything you do makes a difference in your students' lives, including all the things that feel like second nature by now: your open-door policy at lunch, the notes you send to parents about victories in class, and the way you always know when someone needs an extra word of encouragement.
For your students, every one of these seemingly small actions adds up to something huge.
This year, we’re celebrating all the small things you do. It can be easy to forget how much a high-five matters when you’re dealing with the big stuff every day, but your students never do.
Over the next few months, we’ll be sharing stories from educators, students, and parents around the country about the moments that make a difference. We'll also be exploring the research and discussion around the idea that quick, simple "nudges" to students and parents can make an outsized impact.
We hope this inspires you to start the year with the same energy that’s inspired so many of your students over the years. Let us know how you #teachsmall by emailing your stories to teachsmall@remind.com or sharing them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We’d love to hear from you.
Welcome back! We’ll be with you every step of the way.
